Garden and Grains - Summer's Best Salads
Summer brings the best produce to our kitchens! Some days it's a challenge to make good use of all that is in our gardens or finds from the market! With our knife in hand and cutting board ready, we're putting summer's harvest on the table.

IN THIS ISSUE, we're serving up "fresh" in three salads featuring seasonal vegetables, combined with a grain for extra heartiness, and all dressed with a vinaigrette (no mayo in sight!). We start with a  Greek-style Pasta Salad, continue with a Farro Farm Salad (our favorite!) and finish with a twist on a tradition with a Quinoa Tabbouleh.

Classes and Events
We're so excited that so many of you will be joining us for classes this summer!  We've got some good news, too!  After a wonderful grilling class last week, we realized we can easily accommodate more people for the cooking classes we hold outside.  As a result, we still have a bit of room in Weekend Up North on both July 17th and July 31st, and again for the Clam Boil on August 14th.  Give us a CALL (248-604-1373) if you'd like a spot!

We also want to draw your attention to our Polish Pottery Party on August 7th.  You'll find the details below, but don't forget to put this on your calendar!  It's a wonderful time to pick up some of those special pieces of polish pottery since we'll be offering every piece at 20% off that evening (along with some authentic Polish food).  The discount will last through that weekend but the pierogis won't, so bring your babushka and drop by that night!

Bake and decorate cookies for the sumer with cookie-decorator extraordinaire, Sharon Mancini. You'll learn and practice the tips and techniques needed for successful decorating. Details here!

It's time for our annual event -- the largest and most fun selection of Polish Pottery for miles around. Beautiful pieces -- come early for the best selection!
