Sharing the Table
Thanksgiving is such a great American holiday! It's a uniting event celebrated all across the country. The holiday's centerpiece is the table we share with others on that day. It's a flexible feast with a personality that's full of both tradition and innovation.

IN THIS ISSUE, while others are "talking turkey," we're focused on the potatoes. We've had Thanksgiving celebrations without turkey (vegetarian years), but never a table without potatoes! We're serving Istrian Potatoes, a Parmesan Potato Gratin, and an unusual twist on Twice-Baked Potatoes. Also, we share our tips for better Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.

Classes and Events
CLASS: Thurs., Nov. 7th - FULL
Candy Creations for Holiday Giving - 7-8:30 pm   $30
This class should be on your agenda every year.  Susan makes the most gorgeous candies and will share her knowledge and expertise with you.  It's always nice to be able to make something homemade for those folks you want to remember at Christmas time.  Learn to craft some beautiful chocolates that look like they came from a professional chocolatier (maybe Susan's moonlighting and we don't know it.  Hmm???)

CLASS: Wed., Nov. 13th - FULL
Christmas Cookies Part Deux - 6-8 pm $30
Again, you don't need to bring a thing to this class, other than a willingness to learn!  You'll have fun, make friends, and leave with recipes and some great cookie-decorating skills.

EVENT: Sun., November 17th
Annual Holiday Open House

A leisurely afternoon of great food, superb shopping, and fun with friends. (See above for more details!)

EVENT: Sat., November 30th
Our FINAL Red Bag Saturday of 2013.
