When you are a little sad, under the weather or looking for a cozy meal, a little home cooking is the perfect medicine. Menu: Classic Chicken Soup ● Mom's Meatloaf ● Real Mashed Potatoes ● Old Fashioned Pot Roast with Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, Onions and Gravy ● Southern Fried Chicken with Cream Gravy ● Country Style Green Beans

Thursday, November 10th ● Connie Meisinger - owner of House on the Hill Cookie Molds ● "Cookie Mold Magic - Springerle, Speculaas & Gingerbread" ● $45.00 ● 6:30 - 9:00 pm ● Demonstration Class Learn how to make 3 traditional molded cookies - Springerle (German cookie that looks like a little bar of soap with a beautiful picture embossed in the dough-classic anise plus another flavor for non-traditionalists), Speculaas (remember the windmill cookies), and Gingerbread (with all the favorite aromas of the holidays). Connie will demystify the techniques of making beautiful molded cookies. She will discuss the peculiarities, procedures and possibilities for creating "cookies too pretty to eat". Though these traditional European cookies will be demonstrated and tasted in their classic form, some contemporary updates will also be presented for your baking and tasting pleasure. Connie will also show you how to mold marzipan in the cookie molds.

Tuesday, November 15th ● Cathy Webb - Cathy's Designer Cookies ● "Showstopping Decorated Holiday Cookies" ● $50.00 ● 6:30 - 9:00 pm ● Hands On Class! Cathy brings us more beautifully decorated cookies that will make the holidays that much more special! Some of the things you will learn in class are how to roll out and bake perfectly shaped cookies, several different cookie decorating techniques, including the use of royal icing, outlining and flooding cookies and the sanding technique. Don't wait and be disappointed; this class will sell out quickly! Learn to make a Large Stunning Intricate Snowflake Ornament cookie. Learn about the dough and leave the rest is up to your imagination! This class focuses on intermediate skills. Students will learn royal icing design skills, continued icing techniques and beginning flower production using buttercream and gum paste.
