Kick Those Burgers Up a Notch!
Hamburgers are nearly as American as mother and apple pie. With an entire summer season of outdoor grilling and al fresco dining ahead, it's time to refresh your burger-making skills and inject some fresh inspiration for kicking those burgers up a notch!

IN THIS ISSUE, we're firing up the grill for everyone's favorite - a good burger. We start with a refresher course on making a better burger and some grilling tips. Three tantalizing recipes from Bobby Flay follow - Garlic Butter Burgers, Argentinean Burgers, and Santa Fe Burgers. Get your appetites ready - it's going to be good!

Christina Davis, author of Irresistibly Gluten Free:Simple Family Favorite Recipes will be teaching us how to make those favorite Italian foods you've been missing. Sushi is surprisingly easier to learn than most people think it is.  How would you like to learn to make your own rolls and show off for friends and family?  Justin Gould will show you how to make your own sushi rolls at home and enjoying a night in of sushi.  This is a great idea for anyone to learn and then try at home by yourself or turn it into a date night with your special someone.

Bread is the staff of life and it is so fun to make your own. Janet Thompson, a wonderful bread maker, is going to be here to share some of her favorite bread techniques and recipes. This is your chance to learn how to mix, shape and serve some of the most delicious breads.

Cupcakes are a fun treat to have for a birthday or just because, and they seem to be the latest craze.  Sabrina Marquardt will provide you with a hands-on experience teaching you everything from baking, to the final touches of decorating. Macarons are becoming a hot item right now and they are delicious! Kanako Arnold, Crumb Brothers Pastry Chef, will be teaching you how simple and easy the process is to make these delicate  cookies. Greek Yogurt

Rich, creamy and tart, Greek Yogurt is delicious and oh so good for you! Especially when you make it yourself, putting what you want in it. Joy Ercanbrack will be teaching how to make greek yogurt and all the many ways you can use it in your snacks and meals. This will be a fun interesting class.

Hands-On Wheat Bread 

Come learn from our in-store instructor how to make delicious wheat bread using freshly ground wheat flour. Patty Taylor will also demonstrate how to make our cinnamon/currant variation. Price includes pan and one loaf of bread to take home.

Cool Summer Drinks 

These drinks are the perfect way to cool down during the hot days of summer.  These drinks also get a kick from herbs from your garden or local store.  Valerie Phillips will share some great drinks with you in this class that will have you beating the heat and cooling down in no time.  Learn some great recipes and then sit back and enjoy your summer.

So the kids want to join in the fun of CUPCAKES! Kelli Barker will be teaching a hands-on class for kids 10 years old and up. They will come and learn how to make cupcakes and then all the different ways to frost and fill them. What a fun way to spend a summer day! Only 10 spots available so sign up early!

There is just nothing like a chewy sourdough loaf of bread warm from the oven. Resident chef, JaDene Denniston, has been excited to teach how to do your own loaves of this wonderful golden crusted bread along with some other baked goods, from start to the finished product. Kelli Barker will show you how to fill a cake and frost it without all the little crumbs getting into the frosting.She will teach you how to hold and handle the pastry bag and you can practice using assorted decorating tips.
