Jan 26 - Tip of the Day: A corner cut from an envelope and pierced at the point makes a good funnel for filling salt and pepper shakers.  

 

Jan 25 - Tip of the Day: To thin a small portion of peanut butter, use orange juice. It makes it spread much easier and adds taste appeal.

Learning to use fondant on your cakes can be intimidating to even a skilled cook or baker.  In this class, pastry chef Molly Badger will teach beginning level skills for the new cake decorator.  Learn to cover a cake without any rips, tears, or cracks.  Plus decorating tips and tricks for making the perfect cake.  Even a skilled baker will learn new things to make your life in the kitchen easier in this class!

Tamales, tamales, tamales! 

Tamales are one of the most delicious things to eat but they are undoubtedly difficult to prepare.  Chef Robert Sanderson has all the skills you need to learn to make tamales at home.  In this class, learn about fillings, the perfect masa, how to assemble, cook, and serve tamales right in your own kitchen!

Hands On Whole Wheat Bread 

Come learn from our in-store instructor how to make delicious wheat bread using freshly ground wheat flour.  Instructor will also demonstrate how to make our cinnamon/currant variation.  Includes pan and one loaf of bread to take home.

Honey 102: Nature's "Beelicious" Sweetener 

Honey is a delicious all natural ingredient with many, many uses.  In this class Tiffany Jeppsen will share recipes and uses for honey including sugar substitution, baking, cooking, canning, and more.  After the popularity of her first honey class,Tiffany will be sharing all new recipes with even more great information!  If you missed the first class, you definately want to attend this one!

Making laminated dough is truly one of the most difficult tasks in the kitchen.  However, the results of all the hard work and patience is truly amazing!  In this hands-on class Jenny Beykirch & Lindsey Owens will teach you everything you need to know to be able to make homemade danishes and croissants at home.  You won't be sorry you came!
