Sep 21 - Tip of the Day: Pesky fruit flies in your kitchen? Put a bowl of apple cider vinegar with a little dish soap in it and leave it our on your counter. They will be instantly attracted.

 

Sep 20 - Tip of the Day: When shaping your homemade hamburger patties, try poking a hole in the center of the patty before you grill them. They will cook faster and the hole will disappear while cooking.

 

Sep 15 - Tip of the Day: Don't have a basting brush for your meats? Try using a large lettuce leaf to apply marinades and sauces.

 Thursday, September 22 - Crepes, Crepes, Crepes! - 11:00 a.m  

Crepes can be a tricky food to pull off without any problems in the kitchen.  They can tear, the fillings can be too soggy, you name it.  In this class Natalie Straatman has recipes for perfect crepes and delicious fillings that will not cause you any frustrations in the kitchen!  Don't miss out on tips, tricks, and recipes that will have you whipping up a batch of crepes at the drop of a hat!

 

Saturday, September 24 - Perfect Under Pressure: Electric Pressure Cooking -  11:00 a.m. Couldn't we all use a little more time in the day?  With the electric pressure cooker in your kitchen you can cut down on your time spent in the kitchen so you can spend more time out of the kitchen.  Resident Chef, JaDene Denniston has all the tools you'll need to master this appliance.  It's soon to become your favorite!

 

Tuesday, September 27 - Pizza Workshop 6:30 p.m. 

A good pizza is a combination of everything working perfectly together.  The dough, sauce, cheese, toppings often don't mesh well with eachother.  Come learn from a pro!  Greg Chambers, Owner/Exec. Chef of Firehouse Pizzeria has everything you need to know to make a perfect pizza. 

 

Wednesday, September 28 - Hands On Whole Wheat Bread - 1:00 p.m.  

Come learn from our in-store instructor how to make delicious wheat bread using freshly ground wheat flour.  Instructor will also demonstrate how to make our cinnamon/currant variation.  Includes pan and one loaf of bread to take home. 

 

Thursday, September 29 - Tartlets & Cream Puffs - 6:30 p.m.

Pastries are one of the most intimidating things in the kitchen.  They are also one of the most rewarding things to perfect.  They are impressive and delicious!  In this class learn how to perfect two different kinds!  Resident Chef, JaDene Denniston has recipes for amazing tarts and cream puffs, perfect to serve during the holidays.

 

Tuesday, October 4 - Whole Grain Italian - 6:30 p.m. 

Joy Ercanbrack has a love for all foods Italian and using whole grains.  This class is the delicious result.  Come learn how whole grains can be incorporated to your favorite Italian dishes.  All the delicious dishes with none of the guilt!

 

Thursday, October 6 - Festive & Fabulous: Holiday Appetizers - 6:30 p.m.  

We all entertain more during the holidays.  This year add some new recipes to your repertoire to spice up your holiday gatherings.   In this class, Resident Chef, JaDene Denniston has simple recipes that are delicious and are sure to be a hit.  Have a no-stress holiday party with these fool-proof recipes on your menu.

 

Saturday, October 8 - Harvest Soups - 11:00 a.m. 

Fall is a wonderful time of year.  The scenery is beautiful, the upcoming holidays are exciting, and the food is warm and comforting.  Harvest soups are a great way to feed your family on a cold fall evening.  Janice Skousen has recipes that will take your old, tired soup recipes to the next level.  Don't miss out on this harvest class!

 

Tuesday, October 11 - Chinese Favorites - 6:30 p.m.  

Chinese food makes a great weeknight dinner or a casual meal to entertain with.  Tiffany Jeppsen has recipes that will quickly become favorites!  She has lived all over the world and has great, authentic recipes that you will make again and again
