Whether you eat your frozen confection from a stick or with a spoon, there are so many flavors to be explored and enjoyed in frozen form. Summer already seems too short!

 

IN THIS ISSUE, we're freezing our own sweet treats. We ride the renaissance of icy pops with homemade versions that are full of fruit and no artificial anything. If you prefer a spoon, it's never been easier to churn the best tasting ice creams, sherbets, and sorbets. Relax some and chill out.

Come learn the secrets to preparing this decadent treat for your friends and family.  You don't want to miss out!

 

Indian SpicesSaturday, June 4 - Flavors of India - 6:30 p.m -  The flavors and aromas of Indian Cuisine are irresistible.  These dishes can seem intimidating but with the Ash Oberai, Owner/Executive Chef of The Indian Oven Restaurant  you'll have the tools you need for success in the kitchen.  When it comes to Indian Cuisine, why not learn from an expert?

 

Tuesday, June 7 - Grinding All Your Grains in the Nutrimill - 6:30 p.m -  Come learn about the Nutrimill Wheat Grinder.  With Joy Ercanbrack you will learn all of the important information you need to mill all your own flours at home as well as a basic understanding and introduction of the different types of whole grains.  The Nutrimill will surely become your best friend in the kitchen!

 

Thursday, June 9 - Perfect Under Pressure: Electric Pressure Cooking - 6:30 p.m -  Couldn't we all use a little more time in the day?  With the electric pressure cooker in your kitchen you can cut down on your time spent in the kitchen so you can spend more time out of the kitchen.  Resident Chef, JaDene Denniston has all the tools you'll need to master this appliance.  It's soon to become your favorite!

 

Saturday, June 11 - Dutch Oven Cooking - 11 a.m -  Time to dust off the dutch ovens, pack up the family, and head out for a campfire adventure!  Janet Wayman, champion dutch oven competitor, has the tools, tips, knowledge, and recipes you need to be successful at this outdoor cooking.  Do not feel intimidated any longer by this outdoor cooking method, join in the fun!

 

Tuesday, June 14 - Getting to Know Your BOSCH - 6:30 p.m.-  

Resident Chef, JaDene Denniston, will share her knowledge and experience with the Bosch Mixer to get you acquainted with your new mixer, or to discover new possibilities with an old one!

 

Wednesday, June 15 - Hands On Whole Wheat Bread - 1:00 p.m.-  

Come learn from our in-store instructor how to make delicious wheat bread using freshly ground wheat flour.  Instructor will also demonstrate how to make our cinnamon/currant variation.  Includes pan and one loaf of bread to take home. 

 

BBQ RibsThursday, June 16 - No Cook Summer Meals - 6:30 p.m.-

Cooking dinner is a challenge for everyone in the summer.  We don't want to heat up the house but let's face it...we have to eat.  Leah Nielsen has the solution to this problem.  Great recipes for no cook, no fuss summer meals.  Quick and easy, satisfying and delicious!  These recipes are sure to be repeated over and over again.

 

Saturday, June 18 - Southern BBQ Dinner - 11:00 a.m. -
Sticky fall off the bone ribs, sweet cornbread, and all the sides make a breat southern dinner.  Kezia Whitteker has the recipes you need to make this unforgettable meal.  Whether you're entertaining or want a special dinner with the family, this will definately be a delicious go-to meal!

 

Tuesday, June 21 - Campfire Cooking Goes Gourmet - 6:30 pm -  

Everyone has had enough of the same old tin foil dinners.  Soggy carrots and mushy potatoes will not cut it anymore!  Take your outdoor cooking to the next level with Chef Robert Sanderson.  Your family will be begging to go camping just for the wonderful food cooked on the campfire!
