Springtime Brunch Ideas
After this winter, spring seems especially sweet! We're enjoying the escape into warmth with a special eagerness this year. Spring crops are coming up, and summer is just around the corner!

IN THIS ISSUE, we're celebrating one of our favorite mealtimes, the brunch. Just the word implies a breakout from the usual weekday schedule and a joie de vivre that leisurely midday dining with others offers. We've cooked up a Potato Frittata with Feta and Scallions, a Wild Mushroom Tart, and a New York Breakfast Casserole. Time to kickback and take in the day - carpe diem!

Intermediate Fondant    

In Sabrina's first fondant class she taught you the basics of rolling and covering a cake and making simple objects.  This next class will feature some more tips and tricks at an intermediate level.  This is a great class if you have taken a beginning fondant working class or if you have tried some on your own it's a great way to get some tips from one of the best cake decorators around.

Perfectly Peared 

Pears are in season all the time, especially when your menu calls for them. Janice Skousen will be sharing some fun ideas to use with pears in your meals and entertaining. They can make a meal elegant or refreshing depending on the mood.

Chicken is one of the most perfect foods to make for your family.  Its extremely versatile and holds flavors well.  In this class Esther Nelson will show you how to add flavors to your chicken by zesting.  You will love how zesting makes your chicken dinners more delicious and flavorful.

Making your own pizza at home can be fun and delicious. Jack Carlisle, owner of Jack's Wood-Fired Pizza, will be here to teach you how to build your own pizza at home starting with the crust and working through to the toppings. Quinoa 101
Quinoa, a "new" ingredient that has been around for thousands of years, is a tiny, high protein grain from South America. It's nicknamed the "wonder grain" because it is lighter and more nutritious than other grains. Joy Ercanbrack will share some of her favorite recipes using this small seed. Come and learn how to add quinoa to your diet! You'll be very satisfied.

BBQ Favorites 
BBQ season is going to be here soon and Bruce Tracy is going to share some recipes with you that will have you in the mood to start BBQ'ing.  If you have taken his classes you know you are in for a treat.  His food is delicious and his BBQ is even better.  You won't want to miss this class and learn some recipes from Bruce to get you in the mood for the season.

Hands-On Wheat Bread
Come learn from our in-store instructor how to make delicious wheat bread using freshly ground wheat flour. Patty Taylor will also demonstrate how to make our cinnamon/currant variation. Price includes pan and one loaf of bread to take home.

Lite Italian Flair 

We are in for a treat with this class.  Justin Gould is going to share some of his Italian recipes with us and let me tell you, they are delicious.  Justin has studied under teachers such as Wolfgang Puck and worked for Bobby Flay and has picked up some great tips along the way.  he will share these with you and have you rushing home to try these great recipes yourself.  Once you make these for your friends and family you will be asked to host dinner night more often so be ready to spend time in your kitchen.
