MAY 2018 COOKING CLASSES

Thursday, May 17 - 6:00pm
HANDS-ON CAKE DECORATING 
One of Cache Valley's own, Haily Larsen, will be teaching the unique chocolate drip frosting technique and how to pipe frosting. In the class you will be given cooked cake layers and buttercream frosting to create, build, and take home a cake that you design yourself!

THE AUTHENTIC BAGEL - HANDS-ON 
Join Kanako Arnold, a favorite in our kitchen, as she walks you through the bagel making process. Start by making the dough, shaping the bagels, achieving the ideal rise and, of course, the perfect cooking technique. In this hands-on class you work right along with Cinnamon Roll Maestro, Patty Taylor as she teaches you the tips and tricks you'll "knead" to make the most wonderful homemade cinnamon rolls. ENGLISH SCONES & BISCUITS - Hands-on
In this hands on class, Kanako Arnold, will take us back to the old country and teach the delicate discretion between an English biscuit and English scone. A biscuit is not a scone, and a scone is not a biscuit, though they may be made up of almost the same ingredients. The English scone is traditionally eaten during tea time. A perfect little scone is golden brown, crispy on the outside but layer of butter makes it very moist in inside. Although it's perfect to eat by its self, often accompanied by whipped butter and nice home made jam. Come discover how to make light, flaky buttery biscuits, and tender, just crumbly enough, mouth-watering English scones.
