AUGUST 2018 COOKING CLASSES
 
Saturday, August 11 - 11:00am
CLASSIC TEMPTING TIRAMISU 
A true classic, and tempting Italian dessert, Tiramisu is made with espresso-soaked ladyfingers layered with a light and airy mascarpone cream and dusted with cocoa powder to finish. An authentic Italian Tiramisu only requires a small handful of ingredients. Come and work alongside Kanako Arnold, our professional pastry chef, as she teaches how to prepare this sumptuous dessert for any special occasion or just because.

HANDS-ON ROLLS & BRIOCHE 
Do you want to learn to make show stopping rolls and golden, buttery Brioche that will leave people wondering where you hide your recipes? Come and work alongside Kanako Arnold, our professional pastry chef, as she demonstrates how to turn these delicious breads into a melt in your mouth magic. This class will help you as you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, building your baking confidence and broadening your culinary skills.

PERFECT UNDER PRESSURE 
If you own, are thinking of owning, or seeking some great tips on electric pressure cooking - this is the class for you! Anita Watts will share all there is to know about this wonderful kitchen appliance. The electric pressure cooker will cut your cooking time in half and increase the nutritional value of the food you prepare. Take time out of your busy schedule to learn about this machine and save time in the kitchen!

Wednesday, September 5 - 6:00pm
HANDS-ON CINNAMON ROLLS 
In this hands-on class you work right along with Patty Taylor as she teaches you the tips and tricks needed to make the most wonderful homemade cinnamon rolls. Start with mixing the dough, kneading the dough, shaping the dough and baking the rolls. You will experience it all in this class then take home your work home to eat! Offered again on September 19.

INSPIRALIZED AND BEYOND 
Spiralize, Chop, Rice, and Mash Your Vegetables Into Creative, Craveable Meals. Spiralizing isn't just about noodles anymore. Our expert, Amy Johnson, will be in the Love to Cook kitchen demonstrating how you can add flavor and beauty to a nutrition-filled meal. We will be featuring recipes from, Ali Maffucci's, new cookbook called, Inspiralized and Beyond. Not only will you want to eat your veggies worth each day, your family and guests will come back wanting more.

NATURAL YEAST & ARTISAN BREAD - PART 1 
Natural Yeast and Artisan Bread are becoming a lost art in many areas. Come and join our multi-talented chef, Kanako Arnold, truly one of our favorites, as she helps to revive this age-old skill. We will learn how to make natural yeast from local fruits and make bread using the yeast water. This class is the first, of a two-part class, in hands-on yeast bread baking and will prove to be a knowledge that will be useful for years to come.

NATURAL YEAST & ARTISAN BREAD - PART 2
Natural Yeast and Artisan Bread are becoming a lost art in many areas. Come and join our multi-talented chef, Kanako Arnold, truly one of our favorites, as she helps to revive this age-old skill. We will learn how to make a sourdough starter and our own deliciously crusty and tender sourdough bread. This class is the second, of a two-part class, in hands-on yeast bread baking and will prove to be a knowledge that will be useful for years to come. It is not required that you take both classes but may be helpful if you are inexperienced in yeast bread making. Notice: The Natural Yeast and Artisan Bread #1 class is the prerequisite for this class. If you have taken it in the past please disregard this notice.
 
Tuesday, September 18 - 6:00pm
FANTASTIC FALL SOUPS There is nothing that welcomes Fall quite like a warm bowl of flavorful soup. Lisa Clawson, both entertaining and talented, will be demonstrating how to make delicious soups that you will want to replicate all winter long. Lisa will instruct how to make a roux as well as using the Insta-Pot in preparing soups.
