Pasta is a blank canvas for creating out-of-this-world combinations using different cheeses, meats and vegetables. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with the "Mean Ol' Mr. Grinch!"  A holiday tradition at the Cottage for 8 years!  Each reservation is for one table includes two children and two adults or a family of four due to space constraints. **when registering please let us know how many are in your party ~ both children and adults.

Learn how as we go through the process, step by step, to create and decorate a masterpiece! Each student or family will make their own, large house to take home with them! Don't miss out! Wednesday, December 5th ● 6:30 - 9:00 pm ● "International Old World Cookies" ● Partial Hands On Class ● Sandra Gugliotta - Dining Elegance Caterers ● $60.00 Celebrate the holiday season this year with an international twist.  Join us in the kitchen and shape and bake some sweet treats, partially hands on.  Sandra will prepare the dough in advance and each student will work with the dough, shaping cookies and baking them to take home at the end of the evening.  It will be as though everyone is family baking holiday cookies together.  Menu: Finikia ~ a Greek spiced cookie with orange juice soaked in a honey lemon glaze then topped with chopped walnuts and cinnamon ● Clothes Pin Cookies with Fluffy Cream ~ homemade puff pastry miniature horn cookies filled with a vanilla cream ● Pinoli ~ an almond paste Italian cookie rolled in pine nuts and baked ● Biscottini di Natale alle Mandorle ~ Christmas almond cut out cookies ● Diplis ~ a fried sweet dough cookie rolled out into thin sheets than rolled while frying and dipped in honey lemon glaze and topped with chopped walnuts and cinnamon.

Saturday, December 8th ● 12:00 - 3:00 pm ● "Springerle & Speculaas Molded Cookie Workshop" ● Hands On Class ● Lelia Gentle - DreamCatcher Farm ● $65.00  Don't be intimidated by cookie molds!  Join us and learn to make molded cookies that are rich with tradition, too pretty to eat ~ almost, in an array of different flavors. Springerle cookies are the dense dry anise flavored cookies that many of our grandmothers made for the holidays. Don't worry if you don't like the traditional anise ~ we will be making one or more of these flavors for you ~ lemon, orange or almond. We may even back the citrus flavor in bittersweet chocolate.  You will also learn to make Speculaas, (or Dutch windmill cookies), a fragrant spiced shortcrust biscuit, traditionally baked to eat on or just before St Nicholas' Day in the Netherlands, Belgium, and around Christmas in Germany. There will be plenty of samples to taste and Lelia will explain how to choose the right cookie mold for various types of molded cookies.  She has studied with Connie Meisinger, owner of House on the Hill Cookie Molds, and is ready to show you how to make these beauties.

Tuesday, December 11th ● 6:30 - 9:00 pm ● "Story of the Nutcracker ~ Cookie Decorating Workshop" ● Hands On Class ● Anne Simpson - Cookie Decorator ● $60.00  This class is open to both adults and kids ages 12 and up.  Learn to decorate a variety of holiday cookies, perfect for Christmas, to give your family and friends or enjoy yourself. Learn the techniques and tricks to work with royal icing, achieve the proper consistency as well as coloring the icing; you will learn the correct way to fill and use a piping bag for decorating as well as how to store leftover icing. Several different cookie decorating techniques, such as   working with royal icing, outlining and flooding cookies will be covered in class as well as tips for baking the perfect cookie. Anne will share her recipes for Traditional Sugar Cookies, Gingerbread Cookies & Royal Icing.
