Thai Chicken Lettuce Cups - Larb Gai

A popular dish in Thailand, Larb Gai,
is a minced meat-based, stir-fried dish often made with chicken or pork (and also sometimes beef, duck, or fish) that is seasoned with fresh herbs, lime juice, fish sauce and Thai chiles. These lettuce cups are filled with bright, zingy flavors and are a great balance of sweet, spicy, sour, and savory. Enjoy Larb Gai as an appetizer, or even as a main course!

JULY 2019 COOKING CLASSES

Saturday, July 13 - 11:00am
HANDS-ON ENGLISH SCONES AND BISCUITS w/ CHEF KANAKO ARNOLD
This class was such a success that we have had several requests to do it again, so here it is!
In this hands-on class, Kanako Arnold, will take us back to the old country and teach the delicate discretion between an English biscuit and English scone. A biscuit is not a scone, and a scone is not a biscuit, though they may be made up of almost the same ingredients. The English scone is traditionally eaten during tea time. A perfect little scone is golden brown, crispy on the outside but a layer of butter makes it very moist in inside. Although it's perfect to eat by its self, often accompanied by whipped butter and nice homemade jam. Come to discover how to make light, flaky buttery biscuits, and tender, just crumbly enough, mouth-watering English scones.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, July 16, 17, 18
We are so stoked to do kids camps this summer! The kids will be returning home with a grip of experience, increased confidence in the kitchen, a sweet apron, and a binder full of recipes and notes. We will have youngster/beginners and an advanced/teen class. Last year was really fun and they learned a lot. The coolest thing we learned was how much kids can do in the kitchen if you empower them!

Classic, elegant and a delicious confection for all seasons, come join us at Love To Cook with French Pastry Chef, Kanako Arnold, who will demystify and demonstrate the art and science of macaron baking. The macaron is notoriously difficult for the home baker. Please, bring your sense of curiosity and learn how to make the flavor-filled macarons; the perfect treat for parties and fancy gatherings. Come and learn from the best and start creating the perfect French macaron at home. This is a hands-on class that will fill up quickly so sign up soon!
